These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you (the client) and Gorilla Quest Africa Ltd, a registered tour operator based in Kigali, Rwanda. By booking a safari or travel service with us, you agree to be bound by the following terms, which outline the rights, responsibilities, and expectations of both parties.

2. Booking and Payment Terms
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
The remaining 70% balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the start of your tour.
Bookings made within 30 days of the departure date require full payment at the time of confirmation.
3. Pricing and Surcharges
All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD).
Prices are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations, increases in fuel prices, park fees, or changes in government taxes.
Once the full payment is received, your price is locked, and no further
surcharges will be applied.
4. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must cover trip cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and baggage loss or delay.
Gorilla Quest Africa shall not be held liable for any costs arising from uninsured incidents.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Refunds are processed based on our Cancellation Policy and exclude nonrefundable items like gorilla and chimpanzee permits.
No refunds are issued for unused services, no-shows, or trip abandonment once the tour begins.
6. Gorilla and Chimpanzee Permits
Permits are subject to availability and are only secured after payment is made.
All permits are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable, as they are governed by the Rwanda Development Board and Uganda Wildlife Authority.
7. Amendments by the Client
Changes requested after confirmation (e.g., dates, number of travellers, accommodations) may incur additional charges.
We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.
8. Changes or Cancellations by Us
Gorilla Quest Africa reserves the right to alter or cancel itineraries due to weather, road conditions, political unrest, accommodation availability, or other force majeure situations.
In such cases, comparable alternatives of equal or higher value will be offered, or the tour may be postponed.
9. Health and Fitness
Some activities, such as gorilla trekking, require a moderate level of fitness. Please inform us of any medical conditions or mobility issues at the time of booking.
Clients participate in all activities at their own risk.
10. Passport, Visa, and Vaccinations
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport, necessary visas, and up-to-date vaccinations before departure.
We recommend vaccinations for yellow fever and a valid COVID-19 vaccination or test certificate as per current regulations.
11. Liability and Risk
Gorilla Quest Africa acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, transport companies, and other suppliers.
We are not responsible for any injury, death, loss, delay, or damage caused by force majeure events or third-party providers.
12. Wildlife Sightings
While we strive to provide exceptional wildlife experiences, sightings of animals (including gorillas) cannot be guaranteed, as they are in their natural habitats.
13. Use of Photos and Testimonials
Gorilla Quest Africa reserves the right to use any photographs or testimonials taken during the safari for promotional purposes, unless otherwise stated in writing by the client.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
Any disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Rwanda.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Gorilla Quest Africa, you acknowledge that you have read,
understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
