Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Gorilla Quest Africa representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a leisurely tour of Entebbe’s attractions such as the Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Spend the rest of your day relaxing and recovering from your journey as you prepare for your upcoming adventure through the Pearl of Africa.

Day 2: Entebbe to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. The journey takes you through picturesque countryside, lush tea plantations, and traditional villages, offering an authentic glimpse of rural Uganda. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge surrounded by the tranquil rainforest. Later, you can take a guided nature walk through the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and monkey species.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trekking adventure. The trek through Kibale’s lush rainforest offers sightings of various primates including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. The highlight is observing chimpanzees as they swing from trees, groom one another, and communicate in their natural habitat. After this thrilling experience, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening for relaxation at your lodge overlooking the savannah.

Day 4: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park – Transfer to Bwindi

Capture incredible photos against the stunning backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains. After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the world-famous mountain gorillas. The journey passes through the terraced highlands of Kigezi, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and settle into your luxury lodge nestled within the forest.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

This is the most awaited day of your safari. After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing before setting off on your gorilla trekking expedition. Hike through dense tropical rainforest accompanied by expert rangers and trackers who will lead you to a specific gorilla family. Once you find them, spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. Later, return to your lodge to relax or opt for a cultural visit to a nearby Batwa community.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning as you bid farewell to the forest.
